When we look at an object, let us say a house.
Photons of light (electromagnetic vibrations) emanate from the house and fall on the retina of my eye where an inverted image of house is created. Through the neuro transmitter, chemical signals are flashed to the back of the brain in the occipital lobe, the signals are then transmitted to the frontal cortex and then from there to various other parts of the brain. The neuron in the brain create electrical vibrations and we see the house.

From objects to the inside of the brain there is flow of energy in one or the other form at lightning speed. At what point does the cognition occur?
This is not known to science.
Who experiences and who sees? There are no mathematical answers and no equations to prove whether the string particles see or the space-time geometry sees.
Consciousness is the emergent property of the interaction of the above three. This is where the problem begins.
When did consciousness happen?
Where did it come from? There are no scientific answers.
Reflection of Consciousness lights up the Mind field that gives rise to the “I” sense and it is the “I” who becomes aware or conscious!

The Mind field is the space-time geometry of finest relative matter. It has three attributes.
- Mind as recorder of information, we could also name it as the hard disk. It is funny but the mind has no mind of its own it just stores the records of all actions and reactions.
- Buddhi (Intellect), which dissects and decides on the signals received by the mind. It identifies the resultant thought waves produced by the action of senses of perception.
(Note: “Buddhi is reflection of Spirit (The cosmic consciousness) and gains the power of cognition. It is always connected and aware of the Spirit.”
- “Ahankaar” Cosmic consciousness is the non-material component but the act of observation collapses it to ego, the “I” ness of the physical body.
A signal sent by senses of perception comes to the brain. It lights up certain parts of the brain, while the Buddhi dissects and presents the lighted part of the mind to “I” and “I” experiences.
Consciousness did not come from anywhere. Everything is consciousness transforming itself into multiple manifestation.
When we want to build a house, we go to an architect, who prepares a blue print of the house. The blue print is a design based on my idea of the house. How big is the drawing room, in which direction do we need the bedrooms, bathrooms, and the kitchen?

“From where did the design come?”
It came from the mind. The idea did not have any physicality except it was a concept. To convert the idea into structure we collect the ingredients like cement, sand, doors, windows and other sundry material and build the final structure that was in line with the blue print of the architect or our idea.
To take our understanding further, let us remove the windows and doors, bring down the walls. Now, there is no house! When the built house is broken down, does house as an idea is destroyed, too?
“NO” it is still there.
The windows, the doors and walls were part of the House. When we remove them from the house, then separately they are windows, doors and walls but not the house. Like the house, they have now become ideas of doors, windows and walls.

House does not exist except as collection of smaller ideas. House is wholeness, which is more than just the collection of its parts. House is the emergent property of the collected parts.
This collection of parts creating a wholeness is the “Soul of the House”.
What happened to the house?
The structure no longer exists despite windows, doors, bricks lying right in front of us separately. Does it mean the idea also does not exist?
The idea is still there as a form in the mind. We are conscious of the house as an idea. The soul (House) is not dead.
Now we see the door, which was part of the house and we begin to cut it into pieces.
What happens?
The door is gone but wood appears in front of us as physical structure with name, meaning and form.
Does it mean that door as an idea is dead? No, it is still there. Door is not destroyed. This collection of parts creating a wholeness is the “Soul of the door”. We are still conscious of the door as an idea. Door is the emergent property of the collection of its parts.
As we go to the subtler and subtler levels of the physical structure we come to the molecules. With same thought continuing we come to atomic levels.
(This is repeat of the last blog but worth it)
What are molecules?
The molecules are made up of atoms. Atoms are the smallest stable part of matter (size 10 -10 met). I become conscious of the molecule as an idea. Molecule is the emergent property of the collection of its parts, the atoms.
The atoms are made up of electrons and protons. (size 10 -15 met). We become conscious of the atoms as an idea. Atom is the emergent property of the collection of its parts.
They are made of Quarks (size 10-19 meters). I become conscious of protons as an idea. Proton is the emergent property of the collection of its parts.
Electrons, Quarks are produced in a field known as fundamental particles but in zero energy state the fields have virtual particles known as String particles (size 10 -34 meters). We become conscious of the quarks as an idea. Quark is the emergent property of the collection of its parts.
We become conscious of strings as an idea. Strings are the emergent property of the collection of its parts. But there are no more parts?
Strings are the smallest particles of pulsating energy. It is the last frontier of matter. Beyond the strings, lies the field of singularity, silence, Para.
Then what are we conscious off?
Strings come out of vacuum, the singularity known as Para, Ishwar beyond creation and is pre-big bang.
The Vacuum, Para, Singularity, Purush is non-material. It has no name (sound) or form.
There are two necessary ingredients for consciousness to occur, objects and senses of perception. But they no longer exist on the transcendental level but we are still conscious. We are conscious of the CONSCIOUSNESS.
This is pure information, pure potentiality, pure ocean of creativity, beyond space, time and cause. (Please also refer to dream sequence in which we see and experience without objects and senses of perception)
We know who am “I”?

This is the domain of Spirit when the soul has discarded all labels, all parameters to merge with the SPIRIT. Soul is no longer a noun but it has joined the realm of the Absolute.
Consciousness does not come from somewhere, it does not happen but consciousness is always there. It IS. It is the cause and content of all creation.
We saw that one idea was the idea of another idea. Idea of all ideas is beyond the space-time fabric of the universe. We unravel soul of all souls “ The Soul”.
String particles, the first manifestation as vibratory force spring out from Para, beyond, from vacuum, from nothingness, from Brahman. Brahmn is pre Big Bang. It is eternal, infinite, unborn, pure consciousness. This singularity is “The SOUL”, ensconced in the physical body but it is “Spirit”, “GOD”, “Brahman”.
Now, we are confronted with a different reality that every single object in the universe is an idea. The Idea of all Ideas is a singularity which manifests itself as objects of creation.
As we dissect an object and unpeel its layers we see finer and finer levels until we reach the finest relative levels. When this level is transcendent, the soul emerges in its purest, inseparable, untainted form as the singularity.
We see that soul is the reflection of the pure spirit. It is the spirit that transforms itself as objects and gets covering after covering, hiding its true nature to appear as gross divisible objects.

With this understanding every verse of Gita becomes alive. There is clarity in understanding manifest and unmanifest matter and the consciousness principles of life. Understanding that the opposites like sorrow and suffering, fears and anxieties are in the domain of collapsed consciousness, in the realm of matter.
In Bhagavad Gita, Krishna teaches this Dharma of all Dharmas, the Dharma to uncover the soul. “I” reaches the source. (Please refer to Blog 1- Dharm”)
Soul contained within the boundaries of an object becomes infinite, eternal, without any reference points, a standalone singularity, the cause and content of everything that was, that is & that will be. In the singularity, soul the noun, becomes undefinable infinite.
